Really don't have anything particularly witty to say so I'll make it simple (yeah....right). My name is Anna...I live in the lovely (cough...cough...) and boring land ofJersey City. In case you have never been there it is a mix of homeboys and yuppies.....the yuppies are slowly taking over. There is a small build-up of goths around town....some I know but strangely enough only seem to run into and hang out with when I'm in NYC. Anyway I think of Jersey as the place where I work and keep my stuff. I work as a nurse and work at times through an agency.....my hours tend to be quite chaotic so my body clock is shot.....have no idea when it's day or night, when to sleep when to wake up.....blah blah blah. When I venture out of my house in my free time it is to hang out in NYC. I have become a living fixture at Raven bar :) When I'm not there well then I'm trying out another venue.....not helpful yeah. Used to go on a fairly regular basis on saturday night to the Pyramid and recently to Batcave. I am the one with the stuffed plush armadillo attached to my chain belt :) Now that I think of it I should introduce him to all of you. His name is Jacques de Molay and he is damned cute. I'm currently taking a bit of a break from clubbing....just tired of dealing with huge crowds and idiots.....you know the ones who have no intention to dance yet must stand at the perimeter of the dance floor and be completely in the way of people who are dancing even though there is plenty of room for them to stand further back......argh. I hate that don't you? Ok now I'm babbling so what's next? What do I look like? Besides the armadillo in tow I have long hair dyed blue-black.....it's slowly but surely growing out. I'm in that awkward in-between stage in growing out a mohawk type cut.....I have thick enough hair to more or less hide it when I need to look my conservative best at work. My hair is naturally dark brown with auburn highlights and my my eyes are brown with green and yellow flecks.....with the right lighting and contact lenses my eyes are reflective enough to glow green in clubs.....neato isn't it? I have a love for long flowy skirts or dresses, polka dots and tend to wear bows in my hair. I've been told that I look very intimidating due to the fact that what I think is a neutral facial expression is often interpreted as looking really pissed-off. So if you see me looking pissy don't be afraid I won't hurt you ....really, I won't......unless I tell you otherwise :P Likes: talking on and on till I fall over backwards, Monty Python's flying circus, coffee, puns and really bad jokes. My sense of humor ranges from silly to sarcastic to morbid/disgusting. Favorite bands are Joy Division, Current 93, and Pink Floyd. Besides listening to Goth and industrial I collect and listen to synth pop, electro, noise, experimental (whatever that means), avant-garde, progressive rock, 80's music and apocalyptic folk/ music from the World Serpent label. TV....don't watch much but when I do X-files, South Park.....miss Beavis and Butthead, Kids in the Hall, Vacant Lot (when it was around), Upright Citizens Brigade (cancelled.....sniff sniff)...and ..can't think of any others at this time. Comics.....never was much of a fan but I've been recently reading JTHM and after hearing so much about it I'm finally reading Sandman. Books.... love books by Phillip K. Dick with VALIS being my favorite.....like a number of sci-fi and some fiction. I recently read "A Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin.....great book and I'm looking forward to reading the next one in the series (don't know if it's going to be a trilogy or if he intends to write more) once it's out on paperback. Favorite pastime is making up ridiculous premises for horror films and discussing who would be the worst/most ridiculous actor/actress to play a movie role. For instance the buff version of Interview with a Vampire..... Steven Segal as Louis, Antonio Banderas (what the hell) as Armand and......drum roll.... Fabio as Lestat. Hates: people who tell me to smile, idiots and stupid questions, heavy rain, rap music, typing long drawn out introductions and messages and well I can't think of anything else at this time but I'm pretty sure it would last a couple of more pages. Well that's enough about me....can't think of anything else to say....I'm sure I wrote more that you will ever want to know about me.....if you read this far you are about as bored and/or easily entertained as I am :) Oh yeah.....I'm horrible at spelling.....if you are a spelling nazi calm down.....really, there are better things to get all worked up about. :P Anna -- "Peter gave a little bunny hip, and a little bunny hop, and pulled back the bolt of his 9mm parabellum MP-38 Machine Pistol.....'Oh my ears and whiskers!' said Peter, as he pumped burst after burst into the screaming, wriggling form of Mr. MacGregor" -Peter Rabbit, Tank Killer
